According to the World Health Organization, nine of the top 10 causes of death in low-income countries could be affected by genomic medicine, but many LMICs do not have the infrastructure necessary to effectively implement genomic medicine programs.
Using genomic medicine, researchers, scientists and health care providers around the world can narrow the gap by sharing knowledge, resources, and technology across organizations to encourage genomic medicine integration and implementation in all reaches of the world.
Your funds will primarily support the general operations of GGMC’s Secretariat, the administrative arm that oversees and drives initiatives, activities, and projects that support the mission and vision of GGMC and its programs — the Global Genomic Medicine Consortium (G2MC) and the International Health Cohorts Consortium (IHCC).
Monetary donations of any amount are accepted and appreciated. Donations to a 501c3 organization are tax-deductible in the U.S. Additionally, many employers will match personal donations to charitable organizations. We encourage you to check with your employer to see if this is the case.
