Bronwyn Terrill is Australian Genomics’ Education officer, the Garvan Institute Genomics Education and Consumer Involvement Lead, and a UNSW Sydney conjoint lecturer. Bronwyn has more than 30 years experience leading, researching and delivering genomics education and communication initiatives for public and professional audiences across Australia, the UK and the USA. Her experience ranges from coordinating national genomics symposia to developing e-learning modules to support informed decision-making in genomics.

Bronwyn is an investigator on national and international genomics grants focused on building genomics-capable workforces, integration of polygenic scores, and AI in genomic diagnosis. Bronwyn has held senior professional positions, including co-chairing the Education, Ethics and Social Issues Committee of the Human Genetics Society of Australasia and now contributes to the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Community Genetics.

Bronwyn has led or produced innovative, genomics-focused educational resources and programs with high visibility and visitation. She established and led the Education and Public Engagement Programme at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (Cambridge, UK); produced resources and multimedia for Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s Dolan DNA Learning Center (New York, USA); and collaborated on exhibitions and programs on emerging technologies for Melbourne Museum, the Wellcome Collection and the Science Museum. Bronwyn has training in science, science communication, technical writing and science education, specialising in educational technologies.
